About Talkpoint

TALKPOINT.org is a website for foreign language learners (English and Japanese) to improve pragmatic skills and to increase cultural awareness. This website provides a place where students of Japanese in English-speaking countries and students of English in Japan can post solutions to a given situation (Talkpoint) and discuss the results online.

Researchers and teachers can access anonymous student postings as data to improve Japanese curriculum.

This website is funded by The National Institute for Japanese Language under the e-Japan project.

The following documents describe the terminology used on this site, common usage steps for teachers and students and frequently asked questions. If you have questions or suggestions please refer to the contact page.
